Created to commemorate the amazing career of Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, this painting of the legendary Greer-Black-Prudhomme fueler debuted at the 1994 NHRA Winston Finals on the last day of Prudhomme’s “Final Strike” farewell tour. The G-B-P dragster was the ride that placed Prudhomme onto the national stage back in 1962. The restored beauty also debuted moments after the painting was presented to Don on the starting line at Pomona Raceway. Fans of drag racing history may notice

the far lane dragster of Safford-Gaide-Ratican, also known as “The Sour Sisters.” It was the last competitive Oldsmobile-powered fuel dragster. Other famous cars depicted in the staging lanes include “Big John” Mazmanian’s Corvette, the Stone-Woods-Cook ‘41 Willys and Hawkins-Webster-McLeod’s ‘34 Ford coupe.
